Alex,
A wiring diagram does indicate that a line fuse may be fitted. Did you locate the hazard flasher unit, and if so did you join the wires from the unit to see if the hazards worked without flashing?
If you have done this can you check if there is a feed reaching the hazard flasher unit?
Alternatively and with care, take a fused live feed with a long cable from the battery and touch it onto pin 1 of the hazard flasher switch, which should have a light green cable with a brown tracer. (I am lucky enough to have a 'power probe' but with care it can be done with a long cable) See if the hazard flashers now work (without flashing) by operating the hazard switch. If this works, move the live feed to the either side of the hazard flasher unit.
Hazards come on when live connected to switch, feed or flasher unit problem is likely. No hazards likely to be a switch problem.
Hazards come on when connected to 'L' of flasher unit means all is well after this point. No flashers now, wiring from flasher unit to switch suspect.
Hazards come on and flash when connected to 'B' of flasher unit indicates that the feed is faulty which could be wiring or fuse/holder problem. No flashers would indicate faulty flasher unit.
Let me know what you find.

Don't talk to me about hazards. My Allegro missed out on Knebworth yet again last year due to failing her MOT on the Hazard warning light not working. It was all part of a bigger problem that I've never got to the bottom of. She has a new secondary fusebox soley for the indicators (which were only working intermetantly) a new switch etc... The only way they work is if squeezed in a certain way and the MOT was passed due to the use of a small G clamp to apply pressure whilst being checked.
I wish I could help you but I'm still none the wiser and as I wanted to install a radio I really need to work out the electrics |

Well I've got to the route of the problem. The non-working hazards was all down to a dirty/corroded fuse older! Very embarrassing All hunky-dory now and the car's going back in for MoT next week.
Thanks for you help though gents.
