Hi Russell
First of all, WELCOME !! Now for the confession, don`t think badly of me but I have this sat in my driveway and it`s been there for 8 years:

It used to look like this:

It`s Henry, my 1750 Sport TC, built December 1974. Taken off the road when my wife wanted to learn to drive, it fell apart before my very eyes ! Mind you, I had already patched the front panel twice in previous years so the major corrosion problem was there when I got the car.
Props to you for rescuing the SS - I look forward to seeing the car one day. It`s safe now in a garage where it should be and won`t suffer the same fate as HJT 154N.
Cheers
Alan

Hi Russell,
Thanks mate for the compliment about my equipe, that little beauty cost a fortune to get restored but the result was very good,i am hoping to take her(patsy) to BL day this weekend coming, you should pop down if you can its in Peterborough mate, loads of Allegros will be there and hopefully most of us are dressing up in 70s and 80s fancy dress, should be a crack lol
Before you start restoring the bodywork you could make a start on the interior maybe see if you can get some cloth for the front seats because if memory serves me correctly they were in tatters ,bless it!
take care
Richie Very Happy

Hi Russell,
Oh thats a result that John has given you the number to replace the cloth,i think that would make a big difference very quickly to the car without spending a fortune,it would then look quite presentable!
Shame you can't make Peterborough,i am hoping i make it if Patsy makes it as it is her first long journey since 1992,so fingers crossed,AA card at the ready and plenty of credit on my moby me reckons lol
If you show me a picture of your center consul,i might have a clock if it is the same as my Equipe as i won another one on ebay as i had no rubber shrouds on my original one but i do have 2 clocks . . .
We will be taking loads of pictures as it is one of the best big shows of the year
Richie

Hi Russell
The colour is Lagoon. I don `t know if I will ever restore the car, it`s really a re-shell job unfortunately. Mind you, I`ve kept the wife and the scrapman at bay so far, and anything is possible - this used to be a Nautilus blue Series3 1.0l until I got my hands on it, rust an` all....
