Hi Paul,
Sorry I've been so slow in replying but here goes! Cannot see any oil from the upper part of the engine and I think it must be in the gearbox area - I haven't seen it on a ramp recently so I don't know for sure. I would like to get it sorted if only to tidy up the M-o-T! Many thanks Joe

I am starting to think we are the only two forum users left, Joe! Laughing

The most likely culprit for your oil leak will be the gearchange seal (readily available from Mini specialists because the E-series and A-series use the same seal) or the driveshaft seals (also shared with the Mini Cooper S, I believe).

Hi Paul,
Thank you for this pointer - I'll see if we can deal with it sooner rather than later! cheers Joe

Well, time for a change, and its time to sell RKB143T. The car is listed in the "Cars & Parts for Sale" section so if you're interested please have a look. I've much enjoyed my time with RKB - a car with character! I'm moving along a bit in the world of old cars. Over my career we had Saabs and the idea is to move on to Saab number 9. We think this will be a new generation Saab 9-3 from 2004/5 which we will use, and hopefully allow to grow old gracefully!
Cheers Joe
