Hi has anybody got a spare petrol tank? Mine is looking to be rusted beyond repair around the seams.

Hi Chris,

Have you tried the spares service?
Failing that, you may try calling Nordisk in Denmark. They list one here:
http://www.morrisminor.dk/parts/bmc/allegro_e.html
I bought some bits from them many years ago and the price was reasonable then.

If searching on eBay or elsewhere the part numbers are: ARG1620, replaced by ARG1682, replaced by ARP1216.

Mike.

Thanks for the help Mike, yes I've asked the spares and Graham is going to check the condition of some second hand ones for me and get back to me. I've sent an email to that company you sent to see if they do still have one in stock + shipping costs.
Thanks again Chris.

No good so far, sorry Chris, I'll keep my eyes peeled though!

Thanks Graham, I did put an advert on the appreciation site aswell but no response. I might end up just having to mount an alloy tank in the boot for now to get it on the road, I'm planning on using it for the BL show at Peterborough this year.

I've been told that a standard mini petrol tank fits in the boot perfectly! Haven't tried it myself yet though. Seems feasible though.

Hi Graham, got my tank back from Hartlepool Radiator company today. They've done a good job but wasn't cheap at £300 + £60 Vat. Its been cut open, blasted inside and out, all the welded repairs done then coated on both sides and baked in an oven.
