In trying to compile a record of my Equipe (GTO684V) I had approached the British Motor Museum for an Heritage Certificate. Found out this morning that the car was built in Seneffe and so no records survive.

One of things I was anxious to find was the original engine number, as I think the one that is fitted currently is a replacement.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to whom I may approach, or places to visit that might help me.

TIA

Hi,
I can only suggest asking Rev. Colin Corke as club archivist and font of much knowledge. Have you also looked at the V5 as my car's original number was on there. My car's current engine has no number and I suspect replacement engines were quite common.
Good luck,
Katie

Thanks for the pointer Katie. I had forgotten about Colin. Placing too much faith in Gaydon supplying a heritage record and was stumped when they told me it was a Seneffe build and had no records. V5 has incorrect details, hence why I am looking at other sources, especially as DVLA won't release history any more due to GDPR......!
