Hi there, I'm Filip Stén, a BL enthusiast from Vaasa, Finland. My first car back in 1996 was a 1978 Allegro 1300 4-door which I learned to work on and used for a couple of years, until I sold it. The car has since been restored and is seen a t shows now and then locally.
In the meantime, I focused on Citroens and Marinas. At one time I had two 1973 Marina Coupés but now I have "only" one. My 1,3 deluxe Coupe is in good condition and is registered as a historic vehicle and is tax exempt here.
However, the Allegro itch was always latently present. I learned that an estate might be for sale in my town. The estates were imported in very small numbers to Finland, the total varying depending on the source, but between 6 and 10.
I contacted the owner back in 2008 but nothing more happened then. Then again this winter, I contacted the owner again and now I was able to view an estate which ahd been stood for quite some time in a shed. The seller mentioned that "oh, by the way, the engine is seized" and his asking price was unrealistic. I walked away but we agreed to discuss further on. Which we did but his price was still way off.
At this time - late June - I was contacted by someone a few villages away saying "they say you're in the market for an Allegro". He had a 1975 2 door 1300 Super, stood in a shed since 1996. I viewed the car and liked what I saw and bought in the spot, the price was right. A cosmic blue Allegro was trailered home. The engine is not seized but is very tight...
A couple of weeks later the estate guy calls. I explain that I already bought another Allegro and that I'm not really interested in his estate any more. To which he replies that then he will have to get it crushed. Evil! Of course I had to save the estate.
So now I have two non-running Allegros. The prospect from the beginning was to get one - running - Allegro. Oh well. _________________ 1975 1300 Super 2 door Cosmic blue

Wont take you long to get them sorted and instead of 2 non runners im sure you will have 2 runners.Even though someone has put the steering wheel on the wrong side! _________________ The Super Vroom Bitch Is Back............... |

Good evening Filip and welcome.
Perhaps you'd like to do a write-up of your experiences and send them in to the club magazine, Quartic? _________________ Austin - you can DEPEND on it!
