I woke up today & almost skipped breakfast, but as I had some reasonably energetic plans & a total lack of energy, I decided to have my Coco Pops even though it would set me late on my self-imposed schedule.
Because I was running late, I decided to walk to the garage where I store Tara because I'd missed one bus & didn't want to wait for the next one. Delivered her to the MoT station in good time.
Because I walked home a different way to usual, I slipped a bit further behind my now-abandoned schedule and passed a broken-down truck blocking the main road near my house.
Because I am occasionally helpful, I went home to get my Lexus & strong tow ropes, and discovered I'd punctured a tyre well before it would have presented a problem with my commute to work later in the day.
Because my foot pump was in the boot, I was able to reinflate the tyre temporarily & still made it back to the broken down truck before anyone else had offered to try & help, which was about 20 minutes after I first saw it - police were arriving just as I was, and were grateful for my assistance as they didn't fancy pushing it uphill to clear the junction.
Because I was busy towing a truck, I arrived at the tyre shop a couple of minutes after a new customer, who was very friendly & chatty, but confessed as he'd never been to them before that if I'd arrived first he'd probably have gone elsewhere; he now has a new favourite tyre shop, they have a new client & referrer.
And all this because I didn't skip breakfast.
Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day! _________________ ...that's why Allegro will look as good 5 years from now as it does today. |

You're so right, that's why I have two breakfasts
I get out @ 06.00hrs have cereal (wheat-free) with huge mug of tea then arrive at cafe @09.00hrs for small English breakfast (with no egg) & cuppa tea.
This will normally keep me going all day so I don't stop for lunch unless I work on until now like I did today, I knew it would be a late finish so I grabbed a pasty from one of my favourite pasty shops (I have a few ) |

Breakfast is indeed mightily important. Im up at 4.45 every morning to get ready for work so the big bowl of porridge I have at 6 before leaving the house is vital in seeing me through until 12 o'clock lunch!! Sounds like a mighty productive day Richard!! Quite fancy Coco-Pops now actually.
Laurence, that sounds great....yummy I could go a full English right now!!!! |
