| The coil on my 1980 mk.3 1300 has a slight oil leak,and I need to replace it,and I am not sure of a correct replacement.Please correct me if I am wrong,but looking at the Haynes Manual,all coils fitted to mk.3 1300s were ballasted.(at least the white wire from plus on coil is not straight but wavy,which I take to be a ballasted wire).If that's the case,then according to Haynes,the correct replacement would be Lucas16C6 ballasted.I assume these coils are no longer available,so could someone please tell me which is the best one to use,and the part number.?I have a lot to learn about Allegros,so any advice appreciated.Thanks.Joe. |

| Following on from my query,has anyone fitted a Viper resin coil? There is a ballasted Viper coil VC110 listed that might suit a 1980 mk.3 Allegro 1300L,or correct me if I am wrong.Who might know?Any advice much appreciated.Thanks.Joe. |
