Hi Sean,
Welcome to the Club - I think there are a few members in the Newcastle area but I don't know if they use the forum regularly. Otherwise we are fairly well scattered over the country (I'm in Perthshire). Your 1979 car sounds interesting - does it need work?

Unfortunately, this forum is very quiet at the moment mainly due to the popularity of Facebook. If you "do" Facebook try looking up the Austin Allegro Appreciation Society, the All Allegro Group and our very own ACI page.
If you don't then there are one or 2 of us die hard forum fans who pop in from time to time.

Lol, I saw the email first
I need to do a little (lot) more sorting of the parts first before advertising them on here, as they are currently stored rather haphazardly two hours' drive from home |

Hi Sean, sorry to hi-jack your thread but it is so rare to "chat" to anyone on here these days!!
If you look a few threads down from yours in this "New Members" section, you will see a thread from Chris in Durham! He's probably about the nearest person to you who has used this forum for quite a long time.
It is on my to do list to pay a visit up north, I'm just hoping I get a bit of spare time to do it!!
