a note from my neighbour Darren who runs Waterloo Classics and has previously done a sterling job of organising parking for classic cars in Kennington, if of interest feel free to contact him directly or let me know :
"A new classic car garage is opening up in Streatham Hill
I have been working with Lambeth council to open up more parking garages. From next week the first will open in Streatham Hill.
It is located between Tusle Hill station and Streatham Hill station. The address is:
Despard House
Palace Road Estate
London, SW2 3EW
The garage will be ONLY for classic cars.
There are 19 spaces.
Each space will be £53/month.
All spaces have doors.
There is a water tap.
The gate is manually operated with a padlock. There is a simple combination lock on it now. This can be replaced with a heavy chain and a massive lock if necessary. If a key lock is used, copies of the key will be made for each person. The cost of the new lock and chain will be shared by the people in the garage. In other words, you can make it as secure as you wish.
To take a space or 2 or 3, you will need to provide your V5C and picture ID and sign a the lease with Lambeth. You will pay them directly. If you would like a space or 2, let me know. I will get you in touch with the Lambeth garage manager.
You can view the garage any time by driving there. If you want to see inside, we will be meeting there next week to have a look inside. I recommend you join us then"
Kind regards,
Darren
