My VDP 1500 1974 has suffered a drop to the nearside and liquid is leaking from the rear nearside displacer!
I am currently making every effort to get a replacement.

Howard,
Interesting to hear of your displacer problem - in my experience it is best to renew the displacer, but that depends on being able to track down some old stock (they seem rare and expensive, and of course the rear ones are either left hand or right hand) In recent months I have seen someone advertising on eBay a service to recondition old displacers (about £100 I think). From time to time there are reconditioned displacers up for sale as well. Anyhow, good luck - a well set up VP 1500 has a very comfortable ride!
Cheers Joe
