Hi Mike, yes, that's exactly what I'm talking about! I have seen it before but forgot about it. That really needs to be part of this web site, if you wouldn't mind that? And everybody could add to it over time. What I really like is how you've shown what the manual says and then shown a real life procedure. Brilliant.
I have to say though, that the rear suspension procedure looks suspiciously easy. I am sure I've read of at least 2 members having problems with this job. The main problem being that the suspension ends up being way too high.
In the manual it says to hold the displacer hard against the rubber but you don't mention this. I think that is the secret of doing it properly but I'm sure the others said they did this, so, where did they go wrong?
Maybe this should be another thread?
I'll start this as another thread in "Suspension" so Dave can have his thread back

The equivalent stage in my description is

Sadly, it cannot be readily incorporated into the club site as it has been built using completely different tools.
I don't know what was originally used to build the club site, but all we have now is the raw HTML code so any changes have to be done at a low level. To add another page to the menu requires the menu code to be edited on every page.
The manual site was set up using Google apps, so although easier to add to, it is not very portable.
When I fist published the manual site I had high hopes that others may be inspired to contribute but I've had no offers. If anyone did want to contribute I may be able to give them access to create the content themselves, or I could add their photos and descriptions as I got time.
If there are any potential webmasters out there, you may be interested to know that I did create a Google apps account for the club when they were still free so developing a new site on that platform is a low cost possibility.

Hi Fella's,have been thinking about this today and i tried the method as described in the manuals when i was restoring the Equipe the only word of warning i can give is the rubber stop mount on the radius arm doesnt allow you to jack it up to the specific height ,unless the rubber stop mount is removed, or all you do is try to compress the rubber and ultimately jack the car up, and if you have the car on an axle stand the car is then raised,as the suspension has been evacuated,this can cause the car to slip off the stand. All i did was follow the instructions and then jack the arm up to the point where the rubber touches the impact point and then tightened the radius arm pivot pin nut up. then re gas to trim height .
