This is the year Brian the VP hits the road again (hopefuly) and all is going well except for the the headlining. I had all the interior stripped and bought the recommended adhesive from Woolies, applied it as specified (though we are talking 16 months ago so I cant be sure of exact instructions now), fitted the headlining material, waited over night before installing in the car and all was well, now the car is heading in a finished direction the entire headilining is sagging once more and only supported by what is tucked under the A, B and C pillar covers.

Can anyone suggest a foolproof, once and forever VP headlining fix Mad

Just spotted this post, I've done a few rover sd1's and allegro vp's over the years and just about to do my current VP's headling. After removing the old material I always give it a good hoover to get as much dust off a possible that the old material leaves. Then mix a pot of PVA glue diluted with water and brush it all over the board, I normally give it a couple of coats allowing time to try between this seals the surface so when you spray it with the spray glue and spray the material it sticks instantly and has a good surface to bond onto instead of sticking to loose material on the board.
Always works for me.

I've always thought something like that might work but never had a car to try it on. Great stuff, I'll know what to do when I get my VP Smile
Tidy!
