I just thought I would warn fellow club members to make sure they know who they are buying bits off before parting with any cash. My husband recently made the mistake of sending cash in good faith to a club member advertising on this forum that they are breaking a car. The part he asked for never arrived and despite originally promising to send back our money, he has now decided not to. It's very disappointing to say the least. You would expect someone in an owners club to have a bit more respect for a fellow enthusiast.
Kind regards.

Always the best thing to do. Hope this gets resolved amicably, probably a simple misunderstanding/miscommunication.
I do apologise for my inflammatory remark. This is a nice friendly club and so it should be. Maybe if private communications don't work a more friendly public communication in the first instance would work better?
All the best,
Graham |

Thanks for your comments Graham and I agree about it being a friendly club.
I don't want to get into a retracted backwards and forwards on this subject.
However, I've said what has happened and there has been no misunderstanding - end of ....

Sending cash is a mug's game, no matter who you're sending it to. Posties are only human, and far too often have packages been "lost" when containing money or other negotiables.
Personal cheques, money orders, PayPal even, but never cash! _________________ ...that's why Allegro will look as good 5 years from now as it does today. |
