Oh dear, my car failed once in that period, on a indicator repeater - it had been iffy, but I thought I had sorted it (corroded contacts), and checked it just before setting off to the test station - which was 1 minute's walk away from home at the time!! _________________ Hell has frozen over...... the car formally known as 'Heap' is back on the road! |

They have a habit of doing that - just tweaking a bulb or contact to make it work, flick the switch half a dozen times before the test just to make sure, and then come the time it doesn't want to work.
These details are important for us, as it gives us a good idea of the sort of areas to pay extra attention to. _________________ Austin - you can DEPEND on it!

In my case, I had scrapped the contact clean, but not clean enough - I sorted it by doing a extremely thorough cleaning job and it's been fine since _________________ Hell has frozen over...... the car formally known as 'Heap' is back on the road! |
