Well, far better than 2012!!

Yes it did rain lightly for a while, but it wasn't torrential. Due to the rain I only got to see half of the autojumble as the covers came out, but that was a lot more than I saw of it last year.

I got few bargains - pair of new front suspension tie rod brackets for £10, and a thermostat-to-heater hose for £1, including a free window winder bezel of the later thicker type like I have fitted

I also got a mega-rare item - a steering wheel centre for a S3 facelift with the soft steering wheel (vertical rectangle with badge) but it is a SOFT type, not the usual hard plastic type The part number is one on from the hard steering wheel centre with badge, being FAM9618, and is seen on page 153 of the Metro Haynes manual. This isn't listed for Allegros on the parts microfiche, instead there is a later NAM part number, which is also superceeded by another NAM number - I have only ever seen hard plastic centres on S3 facelift soft steering wheels, pre-facelift S3 with a soft wheel did have a soft centre, but no badge. So not strictly an Allegro part but very nice to have a soft centre with badge as it matches the steering wheel better than the hard plastic.

Also, huge thanks to Mervyn for helping me get back into my car as I had taken my door key off the ring earlier in the day and locked it inside!! I found this when I had rushed back to get an umbrella as it was raining and my Dad was at the other end of the field waiting for me to get back. It does seem that any Allegro key will open any Allegro, probably due to old worn locks I hope!
