Hi,
my name is Patrick, I'm 20yo and i live in Austria.
My interest for Classic Cars, or we in german say "Oldtimer", started when i was 6yo and i saw the first time, some of my Uncles car:
Austin-Healey 100, Austin-Healey 3000 MKII,...
However, i always wanted to own a classic car.
To my 18th Birthday, my parents giving me an Austin Allegro 1500 Super Automatic in harvest gold.
2 year and different parceld from all over the world later, i drove the first time with my allegro.
I will present you my car in the Topic "Member Motors" closer, but one thing i can say: I am Second-Owner.
However, I am proud to be a member and glad to meet you all!

Hi Graham,
of course i will post some photos...
No not yet, but in summer there are some Rallys and other Events for Classic Cars, and then it will be the first time that i join.
When my Allegro is in top share i want to drive to a meeting in the UK. It mabye take some days but it would be a nice journey.
I live in a small village in Upper Austria, there are about 155 miles to reach Vienna, so unfortunately no.
Best wishes,
Pat |

Hi Pat,
There are many events worthy of consideration, but you may wish to aim for one of the following:
Sunday 20th May – Allegro Club National Rally
This year this is being held at the Haynes Motor Museum
Sunday 5th August –The 19th Annual BMC/BL Rally at Nene Park, Peterborough.
There is always a good turnout from the club, sometimes greater than for the Club Natianl Rally. This rally also boasts one of the best autojumbles specialising in BL and BMC cars.
Mike.

Hi Mike,
the 19th Annual BMC/BL Rally would be interesting, cause i have vacation at this time!
900 miles through Europe would be a nice trip!!
Thanks for the tips!
Edit:
@Graham: Here are two photos (the pics are scaled, so no HQ)
Best wishes,
Pat

Hi Graham!
Thank you very much for your invitation but I'm sorry to say that I have to work at this date :/
Yeaterday i planed a 4 days tour to Dover:
My trip would start in Austria, goes trough South-Germany, further to Luxemburg, across Belgium, then a small part France till i arive Calais where i can get by ship to Dover.
So I can visit some differnet towns and get unique landscape to see.
That would be (will be?) nice!
Greetings
Patrick |
