The 2008 Pride of Longbridge Rally will be taking place at Cofton park, Longbridge, Birmingham, on SATURDAY 12th April.

We will be going along (and maybe if enought people collectively twist my arm, I might travel Allegro rather than Rover) and it would be great if there could be a good ACI turnout. Perhaps a convoy there from Hopwood park Services?

If anybody else is thinking of going, please let me know Smile

Methinks you are in with a good chance there, as only 3 of your fleet were not built at Longbridge. And most of Albert's components were made there, its just that they shipped all the bits across the Channel (North Sea even?) before they screwed them together Laughing

Hmm. Three - that's Albert the Belgian-built Allegro, Chloe the Citroen and...?

Xena was built at Cowley, Oxford...........

As regards the question of a club stand, if four or more Allegros turn up, I think it would be worth us erecting gazebo, banners, bunting, etc.

Now there's an idea: does anybody know where we could get some low-cost 'Allegro 35' banners or boards made up? The corrugated stuff that estate agents use for their boards would suffice.

I could ask the printers we use for work. They're cheap and I think they can print on a range of media, but I'm not sure.

Kevin: I think it kicks off sometime between 10 and 11. Can't wait to see your Allegro: have you sorted out coachlines now?

If anybody wants to meet at Hopwood and drive there together, we can arrange it on the forum nearer the time.

Jenny: Yes please, it would be worth just getting some costs, based around using the standard Allegro 35 logo on a blue background etc. We could perhaps get one made up for each area organiser to use this year: I'm sure the events budget can stand it! (If your printers can't help, maybe it would be worth speaking to Roger?)

Ask me what ?? Confused

Banners would be a good idea, i have looked into this for 1 off's for the Bromley show & very expensive, so i will probably make something from good old M.D.F
