|
|
hi,
i just wondered if anyone had ever rolled an allegro on it's side to weld the underside before?
a member of another forum made a good point about the warning of using the correct jacking points to reduce the risk of body twist which made me wonder if rolling the car onto it's side would cause permanent damage, would anyone say that it wasn't advisable and i should try and make a spit or do you think it will be ok?
i've done it before with 2 mini pickups with no problems and the steel on minis seem to be a lot more flimsy and thin from my experience so far
what do you think?

Hi Giz,
I rolled my 2 door shell over on old mattresses (go visit your local "Beds and Mattresses" place, they usually have a skip full of them!). It seems to have survived ok
I also made up a stand for it (bolted to the suspension mounting points). I don't really know why I did this now but it was fun at the time!! Well, actually, it was bloody scary but we survived this too LOL!
I can email more pics if you want.
Cheers,
Graham |
