Hi, does anyone have a spares car or one they're about to scrap that they could cut out a piece to make a repair panel for me please?

My series 3 saloon's front panel has deteriorated rapidly over the last year or so and i found some nasty bits I want to cut out and repair

I am going to fit some front fog lights and found the corrosion when I removed the grilles and front spoiler. I've repaired the passenger side satisfactorily but to do the driver's side properly I want to remove some of the front skin to get to the rear skin. If I can get the piece I've highlighted in the photo below repairing the front skin (after I've done the rear) will be easier.

This car is being a right pain at the moment and I'd love to get it back on the road. This year would be nice!!

Thanks a lot,
Graham

I dont know if you got this problem sorted out but I have a second hand complete and useable front panel.
I bought it for my own car but sourced a NOS one after purchasing this one.

Now you've thrown a spanner in the works!! LOL

I don't really know what to do now. If your front panel is really good and the price is right, I could be tempted. But to be honest, I have made some progress and the repair is 90% there. All the welding is done and it just needs a skim of filler and paint. In fact, if anything, the driver's side wing is now the real concern. The front panel is, on the whole, pretty good and not really in need of complete replacement.

No. To be honest, there are probably much more deserving and worthwhile cars and probably a few more in more desperate need than mine, so i think I will pass.
Thanks a lot for the offer though, I do appreciate it.

When I get the chance I'll do a progress report.
Cheers,
Graham
