|
|
I'm trying to secure Giz's twin headlight setup, but I've never had an HL (well, not for long enough to take apart!) so I'm not completely sure of what should be required, and/or included in multi-part assemblies.
Checking the club spares book I'm seeing 3 pieces for the grille trim (left, centre, right), and then LH & RH assemblies for the headlights themselves; what's not clear, or known to me, is whether the assemblies should include the full lenses/reflectors/bulbs/etc. pairings, or are they just bracket sets? I'm only seeing one set of round headlights to be fitted into the assemblies, so my thinking is that the lenses/reflectors/bulbs/etc. should be counted as part of the assemblies?
I'm pretty sure I can't make it to Giz's open house this weekend, or else I'd pick people's brains while we're there. If anyone can shed light on this now, it'd help me no end! _________________ ...that's why Allegro will look as good 5 years from now as it does today. |

The twin headlight set-up on my blue estate are sealed beam units therefore don't have seperate bulbs.
They are a 'retro-fit' so don't have a plug to connect to each of the sealed beam units, there are seperate wires with female connectors to attach to each male 'Lucar' connector on each light unit.
I can always make diagrams, notes & take pictures of the headlight connections to help you out, but I'll have to email you because I can't do pictures to the ACI forum. |

| If it helps I have some sealed units and some halogen units 2 of which are the bright eyes conversion kit which appears to be complete. |

The car they're most likely to be going into will have a much more powerful alternator than standard, so the Bright-Eyes would probably be an excellent choice. _________________ ...that's why Allegro will look as good 5 years from now as it does today. |
