Registered 10/10/1979, Tara must be one of the last S2 estates - she had been pre-registered by the dealership before being sold to her only other owner on the 24th of October, and came to me with original dealer-stamped literature for both S2 and S3 cars from when she was purchased.

I've written up a full account of how she came into my ownership for the next edition of Quartic, once that's published I'll copy it into this thread. Until then, it's high time I posted some pictures to back up my claims that she's perfect Wink

This shot was taken outside work, for use in the company newsletter.

I found an old trunk on FleaBay to use for carrying stuff to shows; the old guy I bought it off was so impressed with Tara he wanted to take photos of the trunk being loaded!

Taken by my wife Jen when we went to Magnificent Motors on the 1st May; that last pic should hopefully be accompanying the article in Quartic.

I have found a tiny spot of rust just beginning to think about appearing where the wings meet the slam panel; I'll be touching that in straight after Bromley, as I've got 2 weeks off work.

I don't have any interior pics to hand; I need to get some better ones, as well as some to document the toolbox the last owner built to go behind the spare wheel, and all the extra spares & stuff she came with - that'll probably also happen at Bromley, as I'm not pulling her out of the garage just for that Wink

I saw this car at Broadlands show in Hampshire in 2007 (I think) and it really is MINT. You're very lucky to own it, it really is in perfect condition.

WOW....

That is absolutely fantastic Richard. It looks wicked in Tara Green metallic.

I'd be too scared to drive it in that condition, Laughing fantastic find, well done.

Been a bit quiet, but my wife Jen has recently been playing with Tumblr and has assembled a small collection of pics of Tara, as well as our other Allegros - you can have a look at it here: http://taratours.tumblr.com

We're hoping to add more pics as this year's season gets underway.
