|
|
My Equipe doesn't have a line fuse for the radio.(It must have been butchered sometime) I've fitted a line fuse holder I chopped off the loom from my doner car but I'm not sure what the fuse rating should be. Is it 1.5 amp? If so, I have some 2 amp fuses. Would they be ok? The fuse holder I've fitted holds a fuse the same size as the fuses in the block under the bonnet.
I can get 1.5 amp car radio fuses locally but they are smaller in size, about the same as a 13 amp plug. Should I have fitted a smaller line fuse holder to accomodate this or is the bigger line fuse holder I've fitted ok. I can't remember if the fuse holder should be the smaller or the bigger one. Does anyone know please.
Thanks in advance.

2 amps won't stop the radio from cooking itself if it goes wrong, but will certainly protect the wiring from damage and that is the most important thing |

I changed the line fuse holder today to one which will take a 1.5 amp fuse. I feel happier with that.
