Final panel got!!!!I`ll have it in my grubby mits by next week, and then I`ll have everything I need to complete the body work and get Herbert though the MOT. (incedently, I might have two rear wheel arch panels and a rear wing going spare..........) Its been off the road for nearly 3 years..... A good service and a spanner check and I reckon I`ll be on the way.........

That's good news, panel hunting can be a difficult game at times (I had experience of this last year).

BTW if the rear arches/rear wing are going spare then I would be interested - yours is a 2 door is it not?

yes Colin......2 door....can I attach pics to a pm? passenger side wheel arch repair panel has had bottom 3" cut off(where it connects to the sill) but it is there....otber side is fine..... The passenger wing is an unknown as yet, but I`ll be destitching the"quarterbowl" panel, as thats the only bit I need( the passenger side of the white panel pictured) Didnt think I`d get it quite as easily....

I think I would be only interested in a whole driver's side wing, I think the passenger's side is good enough not to just need the arch - the driver's side needs a bit more so a whole wing might be handy for it. However, the genuine wing would have an arch that would fit better - please let me know how much you want for it and I'll have a think.

I'd certainly be interested in the one or both repair arches (depending on if I want the wing) - I think you can post a pic in a PM just like a normal post.

Are you having the whole rear panel replaced? I had it done last year on my estate, big job, possibly easier on a saloon as there's no load floor. Hopefully your car will be solid again soon!

I`ll just be replacing the rotten bit. Unfortunately, I tend to be a case of"if it needs doing I`ll do it". I`ll try my hand at anything, from welding to fixing my digibox. 99% of the time I get away with it. In 20 years, the only other person that has ever worked on any of my cars is my MOT man. I`ve brunelled my sills and replace the white panel you see there. I need to do the same on the other side and I`ve been given a Smith and deakin glassfibre wing.....it depends what the fit is like.....

Hi Dave,

I'm interested to hear your observations regarding the glassfibre (front?) wing, ie how to fit it & the general look/finish etc.

At the moment I'm changing both front wings (got some decent secondhand steel front wings to go on), both outer sills & both rear wheel arches.

I made-up a new front valance & the panel which goes behind it, which isn't picture perfect, but is functional (will be hidden by the front spoiler anyway haha!)

I think you've gone a teensy bit overboard with the T-Cut there mate...
