Hello everybody, only me again!

Its been a while, but this is the follow up to my previous post about the equipe gearbox I had started dismantling and on which doing so unfortunatley found fragments of broken syncro teeth and needle bearings within the oil pump strainer. Crying or Very sad

Well now ive completeley dismantled the box, laying the internal components in order on a tidy, I might add garage worktop and what did I find Question Aahhhh broken bits you might think. WRONG Exclamation
No, all of the gears, syncros and bearings are present and ready for action. Confused In fact they are actually in bloody good nick!

As anyone would probably agree, its a little bit confusing Question Confused
So my final conclusion to the ET (extra teeth) in my gearbox is that maybe it had already been reconditioned at some point in the past, but the person that performed the job just didnt dismantle the oil pump and clean out the strainer. Its either that or maybe there was a phantom sixth gear that exploded because it couldnt handle the power of the 1750 Laughing

Anyway the moral of this story is, if something looks abit broken but still works, dont try and fix it. youll only be dissapointed! Mad
