Just been viewing the Maestro+Montego Club website and discovered that there is no gathering point at the M42 services for the Longbridge event this year, instead you make your way straight to Cofton Park.
If you know of anyone else who maybe coming but is unaware of this fact it might be worth letting them know |

This is probably the Austin Federation's way of avoiding liability for the convoy.
I think it will be safe to assume that there will still be a sizeable gathering of cars there in the morning.
In fact, I know of at least 3 coming from this household.........and I am sure that we will probably need a loo stop by the time we get that far.
I would highly recommend the Hopwood park loos to any other Allegro people who may be in the area just before the Longbridge rally
On a separate note, we will be heading off to Mad O'Rourke's Pie Factory in Tipton afterwards to meet up with a friend who lives nearby and if anybody else wants to join us, they will be welcome. |

I'm going, however not in Brenda this time cause she needs a wash and her exhaust is blowing a bit again.
Will be going in the Princess methinks this year. _________________ 1979 Austin Allegro 1300 SDL (Brenda)

Looks like the unofficial convoy is growing, I'll be there in my dayglo Maestro van and Stephen + my dad are joining us in his Rover 75.
Im in the van because KiM the VP is untried on motorways and Stephen nearly wasnt with us at all. Last weekend his Rover developed the dreaded head gasket leak, that saw off £550, then after he had spent most of today polishing and waxing it for tomorrow the battery died, so bye bye another £68! |

We tried emailling one but the pastry kept clogging up the phone line.
By the way re . Maestro parts, yes it is soon to move to pastures new but I still have it, though off the road, until mid May. I am sure the next owner would like the clock, aerial and whatever else I asked for that I cant recall just now, but if you want to send them I will either fit them or pass them on. My address is in Quartic under Midlands event co ordinator, do you want a cheque for £7 or will you be at Catton Hall/ Sandwell? |
