Hey Russell,
I was 14 when my Dad sold cars and that was 16 years ago as i am only 30 mate lol
I do remember he sold a mark 1 fiesta and mark 1 metro and i wanted to keep both of them but that was my OCD kicking in
I dread to think how many allegros i have had in the past infact i cant even remember there has been so many, its only recently that i have managed to do them up rather than have to break them for spares
take care
Richie Very Happy

My first memories are of a Russet brown estate my friends mum had one & we went out for a day trip in it, i must of been 10 or 11 maybe younger?

My actual first Allegro was a series 1 Blaze 1300 Super Deluxe my brother had it as one of his first cars he then laid it up in the garage i carnt remember what was wrong with it but i used to sit in him pretending i could drive Embarassed age then was 13. I dont know what happened to it i know my dad wanted his garage back possibly scrapped it.

I have had so many different classics Ford Cortina Mark 2, Mini's X 3, Viva HA, Ford Granada , MG Midget X 2, we had an Austin 1300 GT & i wanted something curvey thinking Moggy Minor. Then i saw the advert for Jane we went to see her LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT Series 1 Super Deluxe 1300 in Cosmic Blue with original bill of sale & so much history.

Hi Roger, fantastic some excellent memories there - we both had Blaze Series 1 Allegros as our first then!! Your Cosmic Blue S1 sounds lovely, any pictures? Smile

My first Allegro was my pride and joy Brian the Vanden plas 1500 S3 KDL164W! still got him knocking about somewhere?! Pulling up at sixth form in a brown “Mini-Jaguar” next to all the Corsa’s, Fiestas and 206’s defo got you noticed, and most of my mates could see the funny side off it! Only real reason I took it off the road was the headlining! (A bed sheet held up with electrical tape!) A few weeks before I swapped it for the Vanden Plas estate project car I picked up three girl mates before I night out all had spent hours getting dressed up, i pulled up at an off licence and said
“Waite her just going to be second”
Come back a second later, to see three girls covered in 30years worth of dust and a flee bitten bed spread draped over there shoulders! One of them had yanked the handle over the door not realising it was the only thing holding the headlining up! Ha ha! So funny!

Laid it up for an estate, and had two others since then, but don’t think I will ever part with it now….. its Brian!
