Does anyone have a series 3 dashboard assembly to replace the one on my 1.3L?
Grateful for any help in finding one. |

Thanks Dave. Yes I have seen that one, but it looks nothing like mine, it must be from a higher spec variant. looking at the one on eBay I get the impression that it is wider than the one on my 1.3L and therefore will not fit into the binnacle on my car. However I have to admit that I don't know if this is just an illusion? Does anyone know if the higher spec series 3 cars had larger instrument clusters? If I can be sure that they are all the same size I would be willing to take the risk that the one on eBay may work on my car. |

Peter
I'm guessing that your car is a series 3 facelift, where the 'L' designation means bottom of the range. In which case it has only two instruments, one being the speedo and the other split between fuel and temperature. The higher spec version with clock (as per the ebay example) or even rev-counter are exactly the same size and are a direct replacement so you would have no problem fittiing it instead

| It dawned on me yesterday that I have a spare series 3 base model instrument cluster should you still be looking. Was all working when removed from car 4 years ago. Let me know if you're interested. |
