I have a problem with my rear suspension it seems to be very very hard or rather none existence. There is very little movement on the it at all and driving it you can feel a twig if you drove over it, I have done some reading on the net and what it seems to say that the gas has been escaping and to correct the lose of ride height more fluid has been put in to correct it ending with a very hard suspension.
The ride height is correct and there is no knocking or other nasty sounds when driving
Now what do I do now as the work will have to be done by a garage if I can find one

Loss of gas from the displacer is a good possibility and the only solution is to fit a new displacer if you can find one, or a known good secondhand one.

Other possible causes could be the preload on the torsion bush in the radius arm has been set incorrectly, or the pivot shaft may have seized in the bush.

The original factory workshop manual or a Haynes manual will explain the procedure to follow if your garage is not familiar with the suspension.
