With deepest regret I am letting you all know that Andy Mallett passed away recently after a long period of illness.
Andy had owned Allegros for many years and was a true enthusiast: long term forum members will no doubt remember some of his work logs on this forum, especially the Equipe restoration: http://www.allegroclubint.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=943
His family intend to sell his Russet Brown Vanden Plas 1500 and are considering selling the Equipe: I will post details here as and when I receive confirmation from them.

I'm very sorry to hear of Andy's death. I never met him, but he was a gentleman over the internet, where we had some correspondence.

Very sorry to hear this - I exchanged quite a few messages with Andy when I first joined the forum - he made me feel extremely welcome.
Thoughts with his family at this sad time. |
