I'm pleased to say Adam has gone to club member Peter Tucker. It was a pleasure to meet Peter and I am happy that he has gone to a good home. Smile

Great news, Andy.

Which part of the country does Peter live in? Are we likely to see him (and Adam of course) at any shows?

Thanks Paul,

Peter lives in Pinner in the London Borough of Harrow.

He was at the 40th at Gaydon actually, driving a pre facelift S3 1.3L with VP seats which he is now going to put up for sale.

Peter told me he will be an active member going to shows etc.

Driving back from Norfolk in Sunday's heat I took Andrew's advice - "keep to 50-55 and you'll be fine. Any faster is like putting your Grandad in the Olympics".

Wise words heeded in a pleasant journey and the A+ and gearbox was found to be a big step-up from the A series in my earlier S3 aka as the "chocolate button".

My grandchildren get the privilege of naming our cars.

There's the "chocolate button"; Nanny's "Red Bus" (Kia Soul) and now "Rosie" for that is what "Adam" is now called which means that "Adam" is no more.

I've just requested some help with a "chocolate button" knock problem if anyone is passing the Technical help/suspension section.

Well strike me down with a feather! The gentleman I bought the Allegro off in 2008 called it "Rosie". I hope the sex change was a painless procedure for "Rosie" Seems like it was meant to be. Glad to hear you had a pleasant journey home.

I was stuck in traffic in the centre of Norwich for 25 minutes on Saturday on the way to pick Peter up from the railway station. The temperature was 28 Celsius and the cooling fan coped admirably in keeping "Ad......whoops "Rosie" cool. Look after Rosie and she will look after you in return. Hope to see you at some of the shows.......Oh, I found an interior door lock button you can have if you still need one for the "chocolate button".

Ok, I'll pop it in the post tomorrow. Same address as the one I got from eBay?
