|

I would like to replace my exhaust as I have a little blow, I think it's at the back somewhere, will check more tomorrow.
I see the Equipe exhaust from the parts CD is a GEX 163 and it's a complete system including the downpipe. The early series 3 1.7 manual exhaust (GEX 187) is a complete system also and it looks identical to the GEX 163 on the parts CD.
Is it possible a series 3 facelift 1.7 manual downpipe (GEX 1789) and rear section (GEX3769) would fit the Equipe as the fitting kit (GEX 9510) is the same for all 3 exhausts.
I see in the latest Quartic, the spares service don't have any series 1/2 E series exhausts. I'll have to see if Colin has any series 3 1.7 manual systems in stock, that's if it will fit of course.
Earlpart seem to have a full system for £355 but I haven't rung them yet.
Any advice would be greatfully appreciated. _________________ Bloke from Norfolk.

Rather than Earlpart, I'd go for a Stainless system through the club; I'm positive the one I bought cost much less than that! _________________ ...that's why Allegro will look as good 5 years from now as it does today. |

I know you are getting sorted by Colin Taylor now, Andy, but the answer to your question above is "yes".
I was using that setup on AOU454V until it was taken off the road (more years ago than I care to remember ) |

Thanks Paul,
I didn't even think about the stainless option till Richard said, hopefully Colin has a series 3 system then. At least I have another option now regarding the normal series 3 facelift system.
PS
I sent you a PM a while back regarding an interior light cover and the aluminiun heater control panel. I sent you a PM asking how much and never heard anymore. Not sure if you got my PM or not. _________________ Bloke from Norfolk.

Interesting. What is the difference between the parts with different numbers? _________________ Hell has frozen over...... the car formally known as 'Heap' is back on the road! |

I did have a problem with an overloaded PM box late last year and stuff not getting through: possibly deleted yours without reading it?
I can help if you still need those bits: see you at Gaydon on 11/12 May? |

Paul,
I'm hoping to get to Gaydon but unfortunately I might be Equipeless as the small blow on the exhaust has now turned into the pipe separating from the front of the front box.
My VP 1500 just passed it's MOT, the first one since Dec 1996 so I might bring that along instead. Adam, my 1.3L (HLS upgrade) goes for it's MOT monday and will be up for sale regrettably now I've put the VP on the road. _________________ Bloke from Norfolk.

I can see a good case for taking Adam along: possibly a few potential buyers (remember it is the Gaydon Spring Classic as well as the ACI event) |
