Hi there, These are piccys of my 1980 series 3 1.3L Applejack 2dr, eBay purchase, and my 1978 series 2 1.5 russett brown VP manual I'd like to get The twin headlight HL grill without the badge insert for the 2dr (if anyone can help me) as I have the HLS one fitted, the HL one would be more in keeping with the year of the car. I've since fitted the plastic protectors behind the front wings. I just need to get the gold stripes and the front and rear screen trim finishers fitted on the VP.
Come on, let's see some more cars on here, especially early 1750 sports, equipes and HLS'S. (Paul and George!!!!)
Cheers,
Andy.

Sorry Jenny, they where there when I previewed them before I posted and I checked them after I posted. I used photobox.co.uk. Can't understand why they stay on for a bit then disappear. I've tried 6 or so times but they dissappear after 10 mins. Can anybody help please.

Unfortunately there's very little chance of our family fleet appearing, because I am awaiting the next coal delivery to feed this antiquated PC I use. The chances of getting it to use additional software to upload pics on to the site are slimmer than a vegetarian in a slaughterhouse...........

Shame Paul, I'd love to see some of those cars of yours. I'm hoping I've finally got those pictures on (10 attempts). I changed fom photobox to flickr, if that makes sense to anyone. I'm keeping everything crossed it works this time.

WOW!!!

Very nice, Cool they both look VERY shiny, what polish do you use? Anything special or is it just lots of elbow grease?

Notice the VP hasn’t got a coach line, has it been resprayed or taken off to be replaced?

Love the Applejack, looks brand new! But have a soft spot for the Brown Vp... i wonder why!?

Cheers Steve, no special polish, the VP was a rust bucket when I bought it in 1996. It's had new front and rear wings and the wheel tubs, (the bit you see in the boot over the wheels,) front inner and outer panels and sills, luckily at the time I got all genuine rover panels for a steal. It's also had a total windows out and doors off and stripped down respray, need to get stripes on though. Love your estate by the way, you're doing a great job on it.

Well the VP looks worth all the work, real head turner. Did you do the same to the Applejack? Or is that original? Seen the applejack one on eBay at the moment?

Thanks, Very Happy glad you like the VP.T! hope it turns out ok in the end, I’m having fun doing! Cant wait for the summer for warmer weather to start the bulk of the work!

It was a lapse of the mind when I said "love your estate". Aren't I ignorant, it's like calling a coach driver a bus driver, sorry 'bout dat, I've got "Vanden Plas Tourer" firmly in my head now. We're a bit slow here in Norfolk you know. Just for the record I've owned the VP since 1996 and the applejack one just over two and a half years.

Glad you managed to get it to work, Andy. Those were worth waiting for.

And Paul, you can have my old wireless equipped PC (good spec) for next to nothing if you want it next time we meet. I'm back on a 56k dialup at the moment thanks to ISP issues and it's driving me mad.

Wow! Your cars look very nice! Very clean and well detailed. Do you take them to any shows?

They look fantastic - especially the applejack one. By way of a contrast, here's our little piece of applejack motoring history yesterday:

Thanks Tom, unfortunately circumstances haven't allowed for me to go to shows but hopefully one day I will.

Nice to see another loved applejack allegro, fantastic. It must be a rare beast being the 1.0L A+ engined 4dr model. Am I right in thinking most 1.0 models were 2drs?
