For anybody thinking of buying one; DON'T. It's not big (apart from the repair bills), and it's certainly not clever...

Here we have my 156 2.4 JTD making light work of shredding the auxiliary belt into four thanks to a siezed alternator pulley, also managing to shear the bolt of the lower engine mount in the process. All this drama unfolded whilst overtaking a tractor, up hill. Luckily managed to nurse her some 20 miles home without PAS, A/c or alternator.

Luckier still was my trusty 38-year-old Allegro, having been pressed into service a little prematurely this year as a result, and is more than happy to fill the Alfa shaped space round the back of my flat...`

I've always thought that. Especially the last suds with the blck bumpers and black grill, in bright red they don't look too disimilar to a HL series 3 Allegro in Vermilion of the same era.

I know RichieG had a late AlfaSud and was intending on flogging it last year... I was half tempted myself. Prices of Suds will skyrocket in no time.
