Hi,
I'm Chris, I currently own a 1979 1300 SDL 4 door saloon, called Brenda that I purchased off ebay in November for £125, have fitted a new cylinder head, repaired the brakes, replaced tyres, track rod ends, rebound straps, rebuilt the carb, renewed the exhaust and generally tidied her up. When I bought her she had been off the road for between 5 to 10 years.
She has just passed her MOT and even over took another car today ... she's quite sedate doesn't like to be hurried.

| Very nice, the body looks in great condition for the price you paid. Did Brenda need any welding for the MoT or was it just mechanical issues? |

Welcome!
And great to see another 1300 rescued and put back on the road, rather than cannibalised for its engine!
If you want to take Brenda to any East Midlands shows this year, send a private message to 'TeresaV' and she will send you a list.
Look forward to seeing the two of you!

There's a small hole behind the n/s rear wheelarch, and a couple of the doors are starting to bubble though nothing major.
I'm planning to jet wash the wheelarches soon and then coat them with waxoyl _________________ 1979 Austin Allegro 1300 SDL (Brenda)

| She looks lovely - wish the cars we've bought for £125 or so ever looked like that! Hope we get to see her at shows this summer. |
