Yeah, it is a bit longer. But I pulled the strainer of and cut off an inch and a half off the tube and pushed the strainer back on. It still sits within the delv at the bottom of the tank..

Its from a mgb 75-81. I used my digital ohm meter to take a reading on the float with it out of the tank, so it was at the bottom of its travel, then had a few goes at bending the float rod so when it ...

went in no probs. Where the filter plugs on the end you need to cut inch and ahalf off and plug filter back on. Then just bend the fload bar to match the lowest point on the filter.....
